Subject: FN-FORUM: OT: Contracts of Employment?
Hi
Anyone know if this is legal?
"Having taken advice I have to advise that the Contract supplied to you on
16 December 2004 are the terms and conditions that xxxxxx (name of company
removed) operate to and we will assume that you will be bound by these terms
and conditions even though you have not signed the Statement of
Particulars."
Appreciating this is a freelancers forum it's due to problems following a
company takeover, where new terms and conditions were imposed without proper
consultation, agreement or compensation that I'm thinking of freelancing
again!
I would add that they are also wanting me to sign what I consider to be a
"backdated contract." Backdated to when they took over the company I worked
for which is three days before I even knew about it!
Paul
