FN-FORUM: Virus protection

Hi All,

I'm using the 2003 edition of Norton internet security/antivirus, and though
I live update it pretty much daily I'm a bit dubious as to whether it's
still effective or not with it being so old. Was wondering if anyone's got
an informed opinion they could offer me on this. I've heard that old
security software will be no good, even if kept up to date.

Speaking to people it seems that Norton has got a pretty sh1t reputation,
but the free ones such as AVG tend to let viruses through more easily - is
this more or less right?
