FN-FORUM: recording screen actions?

I'm looking for some software that will let me record all of the actions
performed on a screen as a .avi.

Really I want to use it to demo some of my QuickTime VR panoramas in-motion
without me having to do the mouse work.
I had tried Macromedia Captivate but it just wont capture the QTVR at any
decent frame rate (the rotation appears very jerky, taking maybe 1-3 frames
per second, if that, even though my settings show 50fps recording on
full-video).

Any ideas?
