FN-FORUM: DVD not playing Music CD's sound card

just a quick one thjat si puzzling. Anyone have any suggestions why a DVD
drive would stop playing CD's or should I say play the CD but no music
comes out? The speakers are working and the sound card is fine.

DVD's play fine with the music too. It is just the CD's (legit CD's too!)

Creative lab is the player and windows media.

Could it be a file extension issue?

Has the DVD drive just given up playing music files?
