RE: FN-FORUM: modem problem

no conflicts - mouse is ps/2 anyway.

For some reason though in the modems control panel I have 2xCOM1 and 2xCOM2
listed, even though in the device manager there is just COM1 & COM2.

I'm currently working on the theory that something is opening the port on
startup and not closing it again, anyone know of a way to force any open
ports to close?
