I used to have a UK2net RAQ. They're OK but pretty slow machines compared
with your run-of-the-mill server these days (and I don't think the RAQs
are supported software-wise any more?). Some people had serious problems
with memory and disks on the RAQs, and had poor service from UK2net, who
seem to be mainly into gaming servers. Having said that, my one never had
any problems, so the lack of support wasn't an issue.
I'm now, along with some other UK2net refugees, with Netrino
(http://www.netrino.co.uk). Good personal service, but a little more cash.
You do end up owning the server though, if that's important to you. I now
pay £4/month extra for remote power and serial console access, so can
reboot with confidence! I tried 1and1 for a bit, their value server is
cheap, but again support has been questioned in the past (and I think the
server was in Germany).
