Hi,
I would go for 40% up front, 50% on delivery and then the remaining 10%
within 30 days of delivery.
Try to keep the last payment to a minimum because clients always mess
around and will try to delay the final payment if it is a significant
amount.
You have to insist with an up front payment, this just underlines their
faith in you - if they don't want to pay it walk away.
At the end of the day, if they want the job done, they must have the
money, if they aren't prepared to work to your very reasonable payment
terms, then walk away - if you have problems at this stage then they
are likely to get worse throughout the project.
I shouldn't worry about having not met the client, I have several that
I have never met and have done much higher value projects for them.
