FN-FORUM: Notepad Info [OT]

A friend of mine who will be confined to a nursing home for some
considerable time is desperate to get back online. She has asked me to find
out about notepads (with Internet access, of course), a DVD/CD player and
e-mail facilities. Since I know diddly-squat about these things, any advice
on where to go, what to look for and what to avoid would be very much
appreciated.
