Oh, I remember these people. They would put a brochure through our slot,
and not return for several weeks. When they did return, they were upset
that we'd thrown the catalogue out.

So how, precisely does Network Marketing help these people? They aren't
learning a skill (unless you include pestering people as a skill -
fortunately hasn't come up in City and Guilds), most of them can't stick
with it because it brings in no money as compared with effort required.
Since most of their friends/family have already been touched by other
friends/family to become reps too, there's no way for them to build a
pyramid to increase revenue. Generally, it's a waste of time and effort
that brings in money to someone else, and not them.

I've always been wary of an organisation that shows you how much you can
make before showing you the products.
