Thanks for the reply.
I am glad it wasn't just me who hadn't heard of the terms before!
I'm guessing that "spec base" probably means they will pay when & only
when they are happy that the design meet their specifications?
When I contacted them again, they sent same email back!
Maybe I will leave this one alone, and stick to my UK clients, which is
a shame, as I was looking forward to working with overseas clients.
