Hurrah!
that bit does eventually become intuitive, in the same way that a
painter needs to work with his media, oil on canvas is as different to
watercolors as CSS is to Tables for layout.
The key is to really understand how CSS works and then choose
appropriate bits to work with the visual design...
Think how cartoon animators think - background image, characters
positioned on top, interaction on top of that. (layers upon layers)
soon we'll have multiple background images (CSS3) and a better MS IE
to work with too.
