As far as I can see its based on a jabber server.. But to have a big boy
like them running the server, finally, jabber may make a footprint in the
mainstream IM market.

Most geek sorts using gaim and trillian, will be happy, as the constant
changing of the main protocols to stop the third party clients working, is
some what annoying.
