Interesting, because, from the clients location I have often used Moz-Mail
to access my IMAP server (FC1-Linux) without any problems. So as you say it
may be T'bird's IMAP - but I thought that was Moz under the skin anyway. So
maybe its some combination of whatever 1and1 have for IMAP and T'bird.
