Why not register the boring one for IT and the interesting one for
journalism, or vice versa? That way you won't confuse the punters about what
you actually do.

We did this for a client and they basically have a checkout of "call me
back". So it sends an "order interest" mail to the customer and store
owner. Doesn't collect any payment info. Mail me off-list...

If the server has other sites but no chance of seperate ftp accounts,
you could set up a php file manager page with a login for their
directory only so the rest of the server is inaccessable, it's not...
