FN-FORUM: legally binding??

I bought an exhaust system for my car from a guy on a car owners forum who
stated it would fit my car and he verbally agreed he would refund the money
if it didn't fit.

Anyways, it didn't fit and now he's basically refusing to refund the money
and isn't replying to calls or emails the w&%ker.

Anyways, legally I know I can take this further but have I got a chance of
getting my money back you reckon? it was 200 quid, he said it would fit and
it didn't so now I'm 200 notes short (fuming)......
