are u talking CS or CS2?

could be fonts if bug outside of illustrator?

Just asked a friend on a Dell pc laptop, CS2 who has frequent
crashes, she thinks problems arise when other apps running at same
time. Which points to memory management, so suggest you're on the trail.

I work a lot in CS2 now it's so good but have 2GB ram, dual
processing, os 10.4 powermac and have zero crashes, love new trace
function which works better than Streamline ever did. I find the
interface faster to work with and export to flash is excellent. Sorry
had to add it's a great app on mac platform.
