Re: FN-FORUM: Site Test Please

Nice bit of insight there Sam

In fact this is the first website in an additional partnership I've just
formed with a friend. He's a brilliant media producer responsible for some
well known TV ads. He also seems to play Photoshop at a speed and with
insight for what the client actually wants that leaves me a little envious
(imagery is definitely a low spot in my skills portfolio). As a developer I
decided to leave the whole graphics thing to him, no flair impairment, then
cope with layout and development.

Thing is, what looks fantastic on an Apple Mac does not carry well on the
Web. I don't want to start any flame wars here but it's the reason I think
graphics for the Web should not be produced on Macs, preferring PCs instead.
So I've given a great deal of latitude on this site and developed to suit.

Thanks for the large screen issue... I hadn't spotted that even though I
viewed everything in smallest resolution. Simple error.

Would like to know more about the small text issue. Can you give an example
please? And perhaps a suggestion for an appropriate standard font? I could
not reproduce fonts in design scamps.

As for the central-image bevel effect, I've see these images with and
without bevel and bevel gave everything a softer feel. I'm not sure about
alternatives.

All most helpful. Many thanks.

Mike A.
