It is fair enough to say that we all start out somewhere and it is fair
enough to look at what other designers do and use that as a basis of
designing a site - ie something similar to www.......
But to rip something off virtually 100percent is out of order - no designer
would want that to happen to them
I have had people ask me to virtually recreate quoted sites and I have said
no, I will do something along the same lines but not identical, it reflects
badly on me as someone who claims to be a designer
Legal issues aside, recreating someone elses work will reflect badly on you
when you are eventually found out and if the word spreads - you are buggered
It is far more satisfying to be happy with your own ideas, learn from your
own mistakes and develop from there
And sam is correct in saying it is sticking two fingers up at other
designers
