FN-FORUM: Copywriting
date posted 9th January 2006 10:41
Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the forum, having just started to set up business as a Freelance
Copywriter. My design skills are limited so I've set up my portfolio
website using Confluence and would appreciate any comments, criticisms,
advice, etc.
As you will see my portfolio is a little thin and I am looking to beef it up
urgently. I would be willing to take on any work that would help me do this
at reasonable rates.
All the FNFORUM threads I've read so far have been about design (mostly) and
some coding problems, most of which go right over my head! What do all you
designers and developers do about copy when building a new site? Do you
contract this work out? If so, is this ad hoc or do you have reciprocal
arrangements with copywriters in your area? If the latter, is there anybody
out there in my area (Macclesfield, Cheshire), or anywhere, who needs some
help?
As I'm just starting up most of my time is spent on marketing myself.
Any hints on marketing would also be helpful.
My site is at www.no1copywriting.com.
Thanks
Brian
