Not everyone agrees, but if I had a bunch of CVs to look at, I'd put
the ones with Maths degrees (NOT computer science) top of the pile,
and throw away all those where the covering letter contained poor
grammar or spelling.
In my opinion programming is one of those things where there are
wide variations in aptitude.
