The transport layer is quite far removed and VERY indepentdent, from the
application layer, therefore download speeds have very little to do with the
format or type of the file. IIf you consider a traffic tunnel, the bandwidth
is the width of this tunnel, the speed limit upon the traffic is the rate at
which the data flows...in short it is impossible to use anymore bandwidth
tahn is available to the slowest machine. In short you have only used that
ammount of bandwidth in the same sense as total man hours to complete a
task.
