It could be to do with whether you've set the FTP program to upload
as binary or ascii. You'd hope Macromedia would have set Dreamweaver
to upload SWF files properly - given it's their file format - but
their FTP is such as mess it wouldn't surprise me.
In WS FTP try setting the upload type to binary and see if that works.
