RE: FN-FORUM: Umbrella Companies
date posted 31st January 2006 11:55
Hi!
I posted the same query about 4 months ago when started contracting. =
Though
recommended to me company on this forum was charging me incredible =
amounts
of tax/NIC and after three months of questioning (they were saying that =
I
have to pay employer's and employee's nic myself i.e. about =A3400! plus =
extra
tax for not being on the right tax code which they suppose to obtain =
from IR
but didn't) had to change to http://www.safesolutions.co.uk/. These guys
only deduct about 25% from my monthly payment instead of 60% and allow =
me to
invoice other companies without any unnecessary paper work! I lost at =
least
2k in 3 months with my previous UC!
If you decide to work through these guys could you please give them my =
name
as a referral - they give =A350 for each new customer but this is not =
the
reason why I recommend them.
Oh, one more thing - you cannot claim back subsistence with safe =
solutions
but I don't care because am getting about =A3900 extra comparing to my
previous monthly payments when I was claiming subsistence and Travel
expenses which I don't now! I can email you off list which UC I was =
working
through before to avoid.
Good luck
