RE: FN-FORUM: PayPal Functionality (was Paypal Credit Card Logos)

I've got no experience of 3rd party carts, but when I add a paypal button to
my carts the paypal page gives an option to log in or pay without logging
in.
That didn't help much did it?

Subject: FN-FORUM: PayPal Functionality (was Paypal Credit Card Logos)
We were discussing PayPal recently and I forgot to ask a question - so
here goes. I've set up a simple e-commerce site with Click-Cart-Pro and
PayPal as the CC processor. Its all low volume stuff. My understanding
was that PayPal would process a card even if the user didn't have a
PayPal account. How it seems to be working is that the page you get
redirected to on the PayPal site leads you through the PayPal sign up
process. I have set the tick box thing on the PayPal merchant settings
to allow non PayPal users to process cards but its still leading folks
though signing up to PayPal before accepting any money. Is that how its
supposed to work or have I missed a trick somewhere....
PayPal don't reply to any e-mails asking about this. (I also gave up
with getting Barclaycard to respond to e-mail inquiries about CC
processing too - so they got dumped in favour of PayPal)
TIA
Ken
