Sounds like you need to find the correct drivers for the video card/OS=2E =
I'm
guessing if you go to the adapter properties, it's saying VGA compatible=2E=

I am trying to cobble together a working PC for my daughter=2E I have her =

All seems to be going ok except for the monitor (from her old PC) when=20
connected up now only gives the option of 2 or 16 colours, and is all=20
blocky, as it would be I guess with only 16 colours=2E
I have looked on google, as when I was fiddling about I got the out of=20
frequency error a few times=2E I got rid of that but the colours still onl=
y=20
work in 2 or 16=2E Any help greatly appreciated=2E=2E=2Ehardware is really=
not my=20
'thing'!
