My guess is that it would be difficult without being able to install
anything onto the desktop pc. If you've not got a friend you could
visit with your pc and plug into their screen, try finding a small local
type computer shop, I'm sure they'd be happy to help (it's the kind of
thing I find small computer shops do for free).
