RE: FN-FORUM: Stats for broadband users

Hi Duncan,
Windows ships with Media Player AFAIK, so that is 89.2% of the web
population covered. Also, I think Mac ships with QuickTime, so there is
another 3.6% taken care of. Users with Linux, making up about 3.3% of the
population, have probably set their machine up to cope with video, if they
like that idea, but will use whatever player works best for them.
All of these stats come from the W3 Schools site
(http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp), which I have found
to be pretty much the most accurate source out there. I can't help you with
connection speed stats though, unfortunately.
I hope that is what you were after.
Ta,
Ben

Subject: FN-FORUM: Stats for broadband users
Morning all!
Trying to justify to clients to use some video clips on their site, so
would like to find some stats about number of broadband users,
computer setups (% of them equiped to view video over the web) etc..
Any reputable reports or sources out there?
Regards,
Duncan
