FN-FORUM: cropping in Illustrator

I have a number of rectangles in Illustrator and need to crop them to
the rectangle, howver there is a few special effects using a 'wiggly'
line and this line comes over the rectangle. It appears that this line
prevent the crop from working.

Any ideas how to crop?
