Thanks guys, I'm thinking its one or the other, the problem is that the
client runs a "virtual office" business and the godaddy address is one
of her clients so there's a chain of people. It was also working before
I changed the hosting this morning . I have managed to get it work with
the godaddy as the POP3, the mail server I have her host with now and
authentication putting in the login details for one of her email
addresses on the new server, not sure it should work, but it does for
me, I'm just hoping it will for her!

Gulp....
