RE: FN-FORUM: Flash video

Thanks Peter,
So to get a FLV file, do I pull the mov into the FLA in the same way?
File>Import and let Flash convert it automatically
Or is there some other sort of conversion process to get it from whatever it
is to an flv?

Mark,
Use .FLV, it seems to be so much faster than anything else inside Flash,
especially if it's big (visual size wise not file size).
You can tweak the quality and trade off file size (like any other format).
It's really easy to manipulate and use within Flash as well - much easier to
control and communicate than any other format.
Obviously Flash 8 runs video even better...

Can anyone give any pointers re: embedding movie clips in flash?
I have a series of high video clips heading my way. I can specify whatever
format I need.
I've done it using *.mov files extracting frames and importing the image
sequence, but that was a few years back. I'm using Flash MX 2004.
I may need them at this sort of size: http://www.aveaword.com/ (great viral
BTW)
