My scheme:
footer - copyright and date, owner, designer, sometimes secondary menu and
also sometimes the last uploading time...
site map, contact are included in secondary menu
from time to time (it depends on kind of project) in footer are included web
(action) sponsors, the internet partners or site wide links,
When I was the art director at Warsaw Uprising Museum, there was the option
of the quotation in the footer, but it was a special anniversary site...
