You know, life is too short. I don't have to deal with rude arrogant
people in real life or on this forum, but for the benefit of people who
don't want to appear rude or arrogant, I'll state my position[1]...
When I'm looking for freelancers to work with, the way they communicate
is *very* important to me, as the way they use e-mail is usually the
only way I have of judging them, the fact that they trim their replies
and conform to netiquette makes me more likely to want to contract them
for work.
I also give my time freely to help on forums such as these to help
people struggling in areas where I am knowledgeable, their attitude to
me and how they communicate also assists with how much help I want to give.
In my book, people who defend top posting and consequent failure to trim
off the crap (which is as much about politeness to digest readers than
anything else) as a *right*, are people I don't want to employ, work
with or help.
You may not care about that, and to be honest I don't care if you don't,
I'm just explaining for the benefit of new freelancers, lurkers and
people who *do* like to get it right so they don't come across as being
rude.
