FN-FORUM: community site - drupal trial?
date posted 1st December 2006 10:31
hello,
i'm looking to set up a new 'neighbourhood site' to demonstrate to the local
resident's association. if they like what they see they will pay for hosting
in the long term, but would anyone be willing to set me up a test drupal
site for 2-3 months so that i can demonstrate something to them?
an IP address or temporary URL would be fine for this trial. i'd like to be
able to have a play with the drupal install, set up forum categories, blogs
etc.
my long term wish list is:
*news
*events calendar (probably administered, but would like to try a shared
option too.)
*discussions (moderated forums and user blogs)
*polls (vote on local issues e.g. do you want sainsbury to open at the old
garage site?)
*directory (local business listing,)
*photos (users can upload, moderated)
*for sale (classified ads users can upload, moderated)
*map (maybe a google mashup showing blogs locations etc., administered. or i
might just do a manual flash jobby.)
it will be a 'closed community', with registrations required to view most
stuff.
any other platform options considered.
