Anyone used this? I'm undecided if I should got for a proper NAS solution,
keep buying external hard drives, or just get some internal drives and stick
them in a couple of old PC's with freenas on them.
If not freenas, is there anything similar that's worth considering?
The information is not mission critical but speed of restoration is a major
factor. It's basically rotational backups of my client sites - they go to
hard copy anyway, but that's quite slow to retrieve from as I keep them
offsite.
I'm also happy to receive quotes off list, but bare[1] in mind :
200 gigs of data (and growing) updates are around .75 gig of traffic per day
I need to be able to access the space via rsync
You'll need a fast line out of your server for me to restore from should the
need arise.
I'll want to see a LOT of information about your company before I trust you
with the data.
Cheers

[1] or perhaps bear in mind? - I'm never sure spelling Nazis please can you
let me know once and for all?
