Tony Crockford wrote some excellent advice.
All I'd add is to that if you do walk away, be sure to invoice your old
client for any time you spent on this.

Also you should feel free to pass on all contact details for your old
client to the "new client" - they did you the favour, why not return it?

Perhaps they're on holiday and will come back and smooth things over soon
