FWIW I use Fasthosts (as UKreg) for domains, and they've been helpful and
reliable. Don't use their hosting or e-mail though, so can't comment on
those.

You might have a look at Gradwell.com - although they're now more focussed
on VoIP systems they still provide other "back-room" internet services. I
use them for secondary DNS and backup e-mail servers.
