FN-FORUM: google analytics - making reports from exported XML
date posted 5th January 2007 10:00
Morning,
I've been asked to set up an intranet page showing statistics related to a companies website.
They'd like to see highlights from google analytics (ie just page views, unique vs new visitors and geo location), keyword positioning information, back link information and a few other SEO type stats. I can get most of the other stuff but I've no experiance with XML what-so-ever and that seems to be the most logical way to export data from google analytics.
Looking about on google there doesnt seem to be anyone else doing anything remotely simular, I had hoped there'd be a 'how to parse google analytics xml and make nice reports from it' type tutorial, but no such luck.
anyone have any pointers? aside from 'learn XML' obviously ;)
