You're talking about a company owned by Pipex here: 'nuff said.
As for recommendations - I use UKReg for my .co.uk domains cos it's cheap
and you have full DNS control. Been with them for about 3 years and never
had any problems. For .coms etc, I use GoDaddy - again cheap and no
problems, at least on the domain registration side. The US dollar exchange
rate works great for me as well. Btw, if anyone would like a code for $6.95
.com domains on GoDaddy, please mail me.
HTH,
Andrew.

Subject: FN-FORUM: 123-reg email problems - still ongoing
hi,
i reported on the ongoing problems with 123-reg email forwarding recently. i
have just received a support reply from them:
i said, among my complaints:
>> "do i need to switch my domains to other, more reliable providers?"
they replied:
> "This may be something you may want to consider."
does anyone else find this an astonishing admission from one of the biggest
domain registration companies in the UK?
just thought i'd warn people again about using 123-reg for anything more
than the actually registration service. they are obviously struggling to
provide the basic services.
