You can use an inline image too. Have a look at the source text of a
message with an embedded image to see how it's referenced (the image is
effectively an attachment), then use that referencing method in the HTML
part of the message.
Don't forget to include a text/plain alternative message for non-html
e-mail clients.
Note that including images with links will probably increase the spam
score of your messages - this may lead to them not being delivered to some
recipients.
