Re: FN-FORUM: Help with HTML Emails

date posted 5th January 2007 12:15

Paul.

I had the same problem, and although long winded, I ended up buying a
package which I can't recommend enough. Its called SendStudio, and its
made by Interspire (www.interspire.com)

If you are going to do stuf like this, then this is the way forward.
Its sold (for around =A3120) as a white label which means you can brand
it with your own logo, set up a client with a user account so they can
send their own emails, using their own smpt server, based on a
template you design for them.
It can cope with up to 200,000 emails being sent, so unlike outlook,
if the world comes to an end and forces the computer to crash (or you
have a powercut) it will resume where it left off.
It also deals with multipart emails in html and plain format very
well, so you are not leaving anyone out.
Best still, it provides statistics so you can see how many people
opened it, and if you have links in it, will tell you how many people
clicked on it.
Also, you can add a form to the site, which will allow people to
subscribe to a specific mailing list, even if you installed it on your
own hosting, not on the clients.
I get away with charging around =A3150 to set up the client with an
account and design a basic template, and then charge =A350 everytime to
add new copy, send, and give them a stats report a week later.

Thats how to do it.
Interested to hear what others who use interspire think of it. Their
support is the best I have seen..

Duncan
