Not really, there are a few developers who don't like this sort of
thing, and a few more tinfoil hat wearers, but most people who opt in to
a mailing list (and it has to be opt in these days) accept that the
company is going to try to track their efforts in order to send the
right information to the right people.

Preventing a company from sending you the right information is just
silly. Especially when you've subscribed anyway.
