Thanks everyone, I actually found a tab menu on dhtmlgoodies, working on the
implementation to get the best effect, currently on the development site at
http://pwpdev.desk2web.co.uk/

Please don't be too critical of the site, I merely transferred it to Joomla
for my client, but now she has realized that the left menu has to go, hence
the top menu option.
