There is a great little program called 'MoneyManager Ex' and its free. Its
opensource for Linux or Windows and is available from
www.thezeal.com/software

It will give you what you want and far more, it is also legal accounting
software as long as you are not a limited company.

I just use a spread sheet - same sort of volumes as you, and it works fine
for me
