So?
Ok so there is a cost in printing the paper, however there is also a
cost in 'packaging and posting'.
And like any business if I throw you a load of money, I expect your
margins to be less because you will be getting a lot more from me.
I would suggest putting in a postage matrix showing cost for X of each
type. Just some sort of indicator would be nice.
Of interest is that you don't provide pictures of the paper types.
People won't know what 350gsm is. Also A4 duplex...yes the term is
correct and it means double-sided, but you really need to bring it down
to a common level.
Of note is your 1-2-3 steps....not very clear if when I print to your
driver you have the option of cancelling the print. If it sits on your
servers, how secure is it? You don't have https set up for the site.
What happens to the file?
Now this is not a criticism, but it looks like a bunch of geeks got
together and wrote the site. You are now asking another bunch of
computer literates what they think of the site. Could you please get
your parents to look at the site with no help from you, and just take notes.
Of interest is that you are providing a easy way to upload the files to
the server, however you are forcing people to login to a site to
finalize the transaction? Why? Make the driver intelligent. Give it a
snazzy printer queue. Do all the work through that. I want to print X
things during the day. Then the printer program to warn me that if I
want these items for tomorrow, that I need to confirm the print run. One
click ordering in effect. I do not want to have to remember to go to a
site where my files are held and confirm the print run.
If you are managing you cc via an external supplier, then allow people
to buy credit and hold it on the site.
It's a really good idea, but you really need to simplify the site,
hopefully removing the need to EVER see your print runs on the site and
it becomes just a credit management interface, while the driver provides
you with the interface to choose how you want to print these things.
Of course you could even remove the need to register. User prints X.
Requests total.. They pay (say paypal/other), your system then gets a
confirmation with the job ID and it just initiates the print run.
Registered users could say hold a print run for X days compared to y
days for a non-registered user.
Really good idea btw. I could see myself using it.
