What you're talking about is failover - which isn't really an option unless
you want to spend loads.
One thing you can do that's free to at least minimize the problem is to have
to entries in dns for www. So that the clients 'alternate' between servers.
However, you can only really do this for static sites unless you have
replication in place for the two sites.
