No, the problem I was having was not with sessions themselves, but the
way of naming variables in general. I can't remember the exact
circumstances now as it was a few months ago, but where I had
previously just been using $variable_name in my scripts I sudddenly
found I had to be much more specific and use $_POST['variable_name'] or
$_GET['variable_name'] or $_REQUEST['variable_name'] to get them to
work properly
