RE: FN-FORUM: Quark XPress, Graphic design

Hi,
I personally never liked Xpress and it is really a DTP programme. If you
want to create vector graphics use packages like illustrator, freehand,
photoshop and import them...from a DTP point of view InDesign seems to work
better..but those packages are ideal to create publications in or
books....documents that have to incorporate many look-a-like pages...I
wouldn only import part designs into quark and incorporate them into the
layout

Subject: FN-FORUM: Quark XPress, Graphic design
Hello all,
just a general question for all you graphic designers out there. I am new
to the world of Quark XPress and was wondering if anyone could explain the
purpose of this package i understand it used to layout text and images for
print. But is it good design practice to come up with a design in say for
instance illustrator or Photoshop and import it into Quark. Or does Quark
have
the capability of designing the while document itself.
