I have and can print to PDFCreator not a problem. it is splittng the 250
page document into 250 individual pdfs and named with identifiers for each
record I am looking to handle

Office 2007 does it natively. But any version of office will print to
PDF if you have a suitable driver. I have the free CutePDF printer on
the machines that don't have Acrobat.

Write a macro to move through the pages of the merged file going File,
Print, Current page (to PDF printer driver), Filename: your ref plus a
counter
