RE: FN-FORUM: What do people think of Basecamp?

date posted 6th March 2007 09:25

We use Basecamp for 17 clients. We begin with proposals and contracts, work
through development and then continue with customer service.

Our clients love it - it provides an audit trail of all conversations, a
roadmap for development and a central place for the client to fin files,
links and login for example.

Once the site is live it provides a conduit to maintain a relationship with
the client through maintenance and the opportunity to approach them with
follow up work.

Lastly, it also helps us at proposal stage. By uploading the proposal and
all documentation to Basecamp we come across as competent and professional
and have won several contracts purely based on the client logging into the
Basecamp project site.

Give it a go to see if it works - the basic level is free. Granted, it isn't
for everyone but if it does work for you it will increase revenues and
maintain customer retention.
