Re: FN-FORUM: Help - MS Vista problems

Due to the nature of how I use my pc I guess. I design and code
obviously, but I also enjoy the odd bit of counterstrike :)
I also use it as a media centre pc with my xbox 360. Plus, I use Cubase
and Traktor to compose (bad) music.
So my machine has 2 sound cards, a TV card, runs 3 monitors through 2
g/cards, plus has my printer, scanner, webcam, bluetooth dongle etc all
through usb. I've never got all that hardware working on any other OS.
Linux is fine if what you need is in rpms or deb files - after that it
becomes a nightmare. All my webservers run Linux without an xserver, so
I know a lot about configuring Linux from the command line and compiling
installs.
In the same way I can't see why people would want to run a windows web
server, I can't see why anyone would want to run a linux desktop.
My laptop actually has ubuntu as a dual boot with XP. I used it for
about 2 weeks but don't bother anymore after the novelty ran out.
